Abstract

The problem of express estimation of coarse gold presence, affecting the accuracy of traditional ore sampling discussed on the example of Tommot-Elkon metalliferous fault zone (Central Aldan area). Gold deposits and occurren- ces of various morphology – lodes, mineralized fault zones, metalliferous dykes are typical for this area. Presence of coarse gold in heavy concentrates from bedrocks and eluvium samples is shown. That permit the application of heavy concentrate analysis at early exploration stages for the accurate assessment of proportion of different clas- ses of native gold in the studying gold-ore objects.
