Abstract

Analysis of traditional, diamond-specific mineragenic regionalization was carried out, its drawbacks were identified. A new approach to regionalization and forecasting based on crust/mantle diapirism and lineament tectonics
is proposed. Characteristics and boundaries of hierarchic series of forecasting-prospecting targets with specific
geological substantiation are given. Cross-cutting forecast criteria of diamondiferous kimberlite fields inherent in
all known diamondiferous fields of the Central Siberian subprovince are determined. Areas favourable for kimberlite magmatism are defined.
