Author Guidelines

 

The manuscript submitted should match the requirements established; permissions signed by the organizational leader are to be attached. The manuscript must be signed by all its authors.

  • Information on the authors should be attached, i.e., name, position, academic rank, phone number, and e-mail address.
  • The manuscripts submitted should match the profile of Rudy i Metally. In case the decision to publish the manuscript is taken with comments, the manuscript is sent back to the corresponding author for correction; the corrected version is repeatedly reviewed. In case the decision to publish the manuscript is negative, the editor-in-chief sends to the corresponding author a review or a motivated decision signed by the Editor-in-Chief; no subsequent discussions are practiced; no manuscripts once rejected are considered repeatedly.
  • Publications are free of charge. Fees are not provided. Having signed the manuscript and submitting it to Rudy i Metally, the authors grant the right to publish it in the journal and on Internet. Previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere manuscripts are not acceptable.
  • Maximum length of the manuscript is 20 pages, including tables and references. The manuscript should be sent by e-mail as a *.doc or *.rtf document, font Times New Roman 12, line spacing 1.5, top and bottom margins 2 cm, right margin 1 cm, left margin 3 cm. All pages of the manuscript are to be numbered. Text, tables and figures should be in separate files. Foreign names are to be transliterated into Russian.
  • Tables should have headings; abbreviations are not recommendable, font 10, space 1,0. Maximum dimensions of a table are 23 by 16 cm.
  • MS Equation 3.0 is recommended for the math formulae; SI units are to be applied. All abbreviations should be explained at first mention. Comma serves as a decimal point, and dash with no spaces indicates a numeric interval; a double quote serves as a quotation mark.
  • Figures (no more than 5–7) are presented in color or B&W, maximum dimensions 23 by 16 cm. Every image should be in a separate file (*.jpg, *.bmp, or *.tif for photos, *cdr for vector images, or as a MS Excel diagrams.) Editable vector images are preferable. Raster graphs and drawings as well as scanned images are not acceptable. Figures should be relevant to text and assist in reduction of its volume. Letters and digits in the map legends should be italicized. The line width should be no less than 0.2 mm. Figures should demonstrate scale and orientation; maps should be supplied with coordinates. Figure captions are to be placed on separate pages following the reference list.
  • References in alphabetical order are to be placed in the end of the manuscript. Russian sources precede the foreign ones. References in the text are to be marked by a corresponding number in brackets. Unpublished works are not placed into the list; these are to be explained in the text.
Editors keep the right to edit and reduce the title and text of the manuscript, as well as figures and tables.

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL.

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text (and not at the end of the document).
  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in Regulations located in the Part "About Us."

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the anonymity of reviewing.
