DrSc, Federal State Budgetary Institution Institute of Mineralogy, Geochemistry and Crystal Chemistry of Rare Elements (Moscow, Russia), Scientific Director. Honored scientist of the Russian Federation, honored geologist of the Russian Federation, honorary subsurface explorer. He was involved in establishing and implementing a new science strategy, geological and geochemical study of deep crustal zones using ultradeep drilling. Expert in studying genesis and formation conditions of giant gold deposits hosted by terrigenous and black shale strata, in different scale geochemical works in ore and hydrocarbons forecasting and prospecting. Author of over 200 papers including 10 monographs, holder of 17 copyright certificates and patents, member of “Ores and Metals”, “National Geology”, "Exploration and Protection of Subsoil", "Logger", "Geology and Protection of Subsoil" (Republic of Kazakhstan) journal’s editorial boards.

He managed activities as part of INTAS and IAGOD international projects (“Ore-bearing granites of Russia and neighbouring countries” and “Ore district environmental and geochemical studies”), he was involved in scientific and technical cooperation with scientists from Spain, UK, France, Australia, South Africa, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Ukraine. Project in geochemical mapping of the Russian Arctic Region sector was also part of his activities.
